I have been trying to download and print the Cheat Sheet, but nothing downloads. My Acrobat opens, says done, but it is a blank screen. Can anyone help me????? I'd love to have something like this to carry with me for quick references.
Thanks, Cindy

Give it some time... it did that to me too.... I might just be that SO MANY of us are trying to get it at the same time and we are overloading her server.
I'll let ya know if I get mine open and how long it takes to load.

My acrobat is loading it and it comes up on my screen, but I can't find anywhere on my computer that I've downloaded it or saved it. Am I doing something wrong?

The link on the Newsletter is directing you to the wrong place, it LOOKS like acrobat is loading but then it never finishes... just use the link above....it should work just fine.

I tried it and it does the same thing. Am I just looking in the wrong place on my computer for the download?? I'm looking in "my downloads". It's still not there.

I don't know, it SHOULD just open right up for you. You should not have to go looking for it. Make sure all your other windows are closed. You might want to close everything down and start over just using the link I gave you.

If I'm "downloading" it, it should be stored somewhere on my computer, right? It does do what you say... it opens it right up. I just thought that it should also be stored somewhere where I can get at it without logging on to the internet. Sorry! Still a little computer illiterate!

Oh, gotcha.... what you will need to do is once it is open, do a file, save, and then save it where you like on your computer.
I can see how the words "download" would make ya think that.

"Downloading" a .pdf file from Adobe means that it is downloading it to your temp file on your computer. This file is a tad hard to find if you're not computer literate so it's easier just to go to "File" and "Save as" to save it to a spot where you'll know you can find it later!
Hope this makes sense!

Yes it made perfect sense! Actually my adobe was loading it (not acrobat) and I couldn't go up to file and save it... what I did do was click on a save icon in adobe. Thanks for the help!

Oh good point! I forgot about that. When you start up Adobe by itself, there is the option. But if you click on a link from a webpage, the file option is gone and you have to click on the little disk to save.

Well, this link finally seemed to work and was downloading. But then it said there was an error and did I want to suppress further errors. Some colored graphics showed up but then nothing else. Is there something wrong with my computer???

OK, it's all good now.... both links work... I personally think that just too many of us were trying to get to it at the same time is why a few of us had problems...but it is all better now! NO WORRIES! You can use the link on the Newsletter.....

I thought a lot of people might want to download the cheat sheet, but we had something like 2,000 people try in the first ninety minutes - yowza! I didn't foresee a response like that!
The newsletter links should take you to the page on the site where you can do the download - http://www.helpforibs.com/diet/cheatsheet.asp - not to the actual PDF file itself. From the link above, you can download (which means save to your computer) by clicking on the "Open" link on that page. The direct link to the PDF is http://www.helpforibs.com/diet/heathersibscheatsheet.pdf
This is where it can get tricky. You might be able to open the PDF right in your browser, and then you'd have to do a file, save, to save the PDF to your computer desktop. Or, if the PDF opens in Acrobat full-version and not in your browser, you can click on the "save file" icon that Acrobat has.
Or, you can right-click on the "Open the IBS Cheat Sheet" link, choose to "save target as", and then save the file to your desktop from there. Once it's on your desktop, you can just keep it there to access the links, or you can print it out, or upload it to someplace else on the internet if you want to share it.
Sorry so confusing!!
