Try this for corn tortillas...       04/29/03 12:08 PM Edit Reply Quote Heather Reged: 12/09/02 Posts: 7799 Loc: Seattle, WA I just learned this trick from a friend who's Mexican and makes her own corn tortillas from scratch (they are fabulous - and IBS safe!) If you have an electric, not gas, stove, heat a burner to medium. Put the corn tortilla directly on the burner for about 30 seconds. It will get hot and pliable. Then turn it over for just about 10 seconds. Works better than microwaving or oven heating, and I swear they don't burn even though it sounds like they would. I've recently gotten hooked on Diane's corn tortillas, which are at grocery stores.
