We have a tiny kitchen with zero storage space, so we brought in a 9 foot high bookcase that is now filled with glass jars of dry goods. They look pretty, seal tight (I like canning jars for smaller sizes) and considering I'm a complete klutz I don't break them very often at all. Even with our last big earthquake (which destroyed some buildings just blocks from here) the bookcase didn't topple and we only lost one or two jars.
