Yeah, flour will lump if you're not careful. I thin it with liquid to make a slurry first, then I add that gradually to the simmering liquid in the pan and STIR constantly! That helps a lot.

For some reason I thought Ruchie was in Australia, and I think earlier posters in Oz couldn't find cornstarch.
