They are high in soluble fiber and really nutritious. They're high in fat - for a fruit! - which means they're actually pretty low fat overall, just that most of the calories are from fat. One avocado gets about 100-150 calories from fat, so if you add half an avocado to a sandwich you're just fine. Or mash up into guacamole for baked corn chips - delish!

The fats are monounsaturated and super healthy for your heart. These are the kinds of fats you need in your diet, so add in wherever you can (in small amounts). Avocados are perfect for this.
