ice cold beverages can sometimes make your stomach contract (image an ice cold hand on the outside of your belly, and how that would make you jump) and in some folks that can cause IBS problems.

Ice won't affect the benefits of any kind of tea, but be careful drinking any ice cold beverages (especially on an empty stomach, or when you're touchy) unless you know you do okay with that.

As a corollary, drinking very hot tea when you're touchy can give you the added benefits of the heat, which is a muscle relaxant.
