It's a dysfunction, not a disease - closest thing to a cure

would be something that makes your body function normally when it is prone (by definition, if you have IBS) to dysfunction. Closest thing to this in existence so far is gut-directed hypnotherapy, which seems to physically change the way the gut acts, and the way the gut interacts with the brain. Results on trial patients have lasted at least five years, and are still being tracked.
