25-35 grams of fiber a day is the bare minimum. In general, the more fiber you can eat, the better for your overall health. You can go up to 80 grams a day - there are entire Asian countries where this is the average. And in rural Uganda, the average daily fiber intake is 150 grams. So you've still got a way to go....
