Some folks who arrive at the boards are new to IBS but not to message boards...some are new to message boards but not to IBS...and some are new to both!
The abbreviation "nt," which stands for "no text," has been showing up in some unusual places in folks' posts, so for any and all newbies out there: if your entire post is contained in the subject line (for example, "Thanks, Heather! -nt-"), use "nt" to let us know we needn't open your post because there's nothing inside. If, on the other hand, you reply to someone else's post, please delete the "nt" if you've added to the message itself. And please don't use "nt" at the end of a message--we've already opened and read it, so we already know it does contain text. I hope this clears things up!
