It probably is the hormonal changes that are affecting you. There is some recent research conducted by the University of Washington showing that IBS definitely responds to hormonal fluctuations in women. Any drug that dramatically affects your hormones seems likely to affect IBS as well. I'd talk to your doc and see if there are alternate drugs or perhaps a way to adjust the dosage or some such.
