Like you say, it makes no sense for the manufacturer to do this as they're trying to market their product for constipation. One thing - did you just start the Fibercon? It usually takes a few days for any soluble fiber supplement to have an effect, so it's not super likely that you would have sudden constipation on the same day you start the pills and have these things be connected.
