That way you can see just how greasy the veggies are and decide if it's safe to eat them. They should be able to make a plain baked potato - surely they have a microwave. You might actually get a menu from the restaurant in advance, take it home, see what looks okay, then call the restaurant to see how they can accomodate you. The odds are pretty good they'll have plain white bread you can eat before anything else - that will help. Standard Canadian and American restaurants are really hard - they just make everything so high in fat.
