Soluble fiber supplements are actually often recommended for pregnant women as a safe way to head off constipation. Acacia is even traditionally used in Indian Ayurvedic medicine for morning sickness and nausea. It's organic, and there's nothing else added to it as filler ingredients that you'd have to be concerned about.

Ask your doc if you can take a soluble fiber supplement - I'm sure she'll/he'll say yes.

Just fyi, Acacia is used in tons of commercial food and beverage products (usually called gum arabic). It's in everything from Coca-Cola to Altoids, just not in high enough doses to give you the amount of fiber you need if you're taking it as a supplement.
