Hi Ruth - I wouldn't touch this stuff with a ten foot pole. The website is a little confusing, but from what I can see of the ingredients in the cleanse/detox stuff it's a laxative (magnesium) with some herbs added in. Their IBS support formula is just a blend of herbs that are probably not going to hurt, but there's psyllium in there too, which is not good.
I have no idea why they're referring to my book - the link you gave me from their pamphlet is just an excerpt from Eating for IBS. And nowhere in there do I suggest that people should use any cleanse/detox system - I don't think they can do anything but violently disrupt your gut and cause all sorts of problems.
Can you give me more details on the pamphlet, or do they have that online? If they're improperly referencing my book in support of their products I'd like to contact them about that.
The other thing that gives me the willies about their site is all the bogus info on parasites and candida - these are not related to IBS at all.
