Hi - search the boards for this - believe it or not it's been a hot topic, on the recipe board too. Many folks are using the Bodum (or Bodrum?) tea press. I have several mesh tea strainers that don't allow floaters (the mesh is very fine screen, doesn't have the bigger wholes that some strainers do). You can also get big mesh baskets for brewing tea, or pots that have strainers built into the lids.

I've found a TON of these things at health food stores and Asian groceries, and of course at little specialty tea/coffee shops.

Stick with the loose teas if you can - they are MUCH stronger than what's in the tea bags, so you'll get more beneficial effects.
