the wheat bran ones aren't even new - and there are numerous ones. Dr. P. J. Whorwell, one of the top IBS docs/researchers in the UK, has conducted several of them. I met him at a conference a few years ago, and he was such a sweetheart, and visibly frustrated that he still saw so many patients who'd been told to eat bran. I felt for him.
