No - there are actually clinical studies       08/31/07 10:21 AM Edit Reply Quote Heather Reged: 12/09/02 Posts: 7799 Loc: Seattle, WA showing that insoluble fiber, particularly wheat bran, makes people with IBS worse, not better. It's bad advice. Just because it's been repeated ad nauseum for decades doesn't meant there was ever any basis of truth to it, or that it's somehow helpful now.
