Hi Judith - Well, that's good news and bad. I'm glad the parasite is finally cleared, but it sure does sound like the process has really thrown your gut out of whack. The upside is that you should be able to calm things down now and get back on track.
The fiber supplement with probiotics is a great idea. You might even want to supplement that with something like soy yogurt with live cultures. And try to increase that fiber dose up to 12-15 grams a day, divided doses, with plenty of water.
You might try the breaking the cycle diet for several days to help calm things down. Make sure you've got plenty of peppermint, fennel, chamomile, or anise tea to help you too. The just gradually start increasing your insoluble fiber carefully, and adding in skinless chicken breasts, seafood, egg whites for protein, and small amounts of fats from olive oils, avocados, very finely ground nuts, fatty fish, flax oil, etc.
Gentle exercise will help too - works on your gut muscles as well as external muscles.
Let me know how things go.
xxoo Heather
