we're going to re-label them since right now they say they're 4 oz, but they're all overfilled. The fennel is 14 oz, even though the canisters are the exact same size. This is because peppermint is super light, and fennel is pretty heavy. So the volume for the two teas is the same, as is the number of cups of tea you can make, but the weights are very different.
If you've bought the one pound loose pouches of the fennel and peppermint teas, you'll know exactly what I mean. The peppermint pouch is about four times bigger than the fennel!
I would have liked to get a full pound of each loose tea into the canisters, but it was logistically impossible - especially for the peppermint, where you'd need a canister the size of a bag of flour. It would never work on store shelves.
