Hi - Make sure you get a curry powder labeled "mild". I'm not sure how well it will dissolve into hot water for tea (might not dissolve at all). Try 1/2 teaspoon per cup and taste it - keep it a little weak while you try it to see how it works.

If you have access to herbs/spices in bulk, see if you can't blend a small amount of dried turmeric root (what makes curry yellow, and a great digestive aid), whole coriander and cumin seeds (go light on the cumin), whole gingerroot dried, and maybe some whole cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, and fennel.
