Hi there - hope you're feeling a little better. I wish I had a great answer to this question, but it has always seemed to me that it is darn near impossible to halt an attack once it's started. Prevention is much easier.
I find that chewing Altoids (a lot of them - I've gone through 6 or 8 of them in minutes) and drinking small sips of very hot, extremely strong, peppermint tea to be helpful. Not a cure, but they do help somewhat. I wouldn't put anything solid in your stomach in the midst of an attack - it's likely to just make things worse.
If you can stay upright, and stretch your arms up above your head, and try to stretch out your whole torso as much as possible, this can sometimes help. So can very deep breathing, like you'd do in yoga.
Some folks find heat on their abdomen, or taking a hot shower, to be helpful.
