my fist yoga class

My first yoga class was today (besides a couple times at home via video), but this was so good. This was called Kripalu Yoga. My back feels so much better (from being buckled over studying) and also, I have to say, it helped with my digestion very soon after, being constipated for over 3 days! I am impressed and looking forward to the other 7 classes. Just had to share my excitement!

Here are a couple web pages I found on it's theory. I am not sure the main differences in this particular type (Kripalu)...I know there are a few different warm-up techniques and poses (or combinations of poses eg. sun salutation?), also focus on different breathing techniques. Hope this helps a little, if I find out more (perhaps from my instructor) I will definetly let you know.
