Hi,

I just found out about Heather's website recently and have ordered some of her Tummy Tea and Peppermint capsules. I suffer from stress and holding it up in my upper back and chest area. I am asking if you can recommend any sort of yoga poses to help with this feeling. I go to a Chiropractor and he helps me, but then when I'm at work, I get myself all tightened up again......HELP!!!

Hi Robin - This isn't a yoga pose, but it's something that helps me as I get the exact same tightness across my middle and upper back and chest when I sit at the computer all day. I found the spinal twists we do in class really work great to release tension there, and I've adapted this to when I'm sitting at my desk. I lift my arms up straight over my head and inhale, then twist to the left and gently twist my upper body as far as I can, while trying to keep my hips/rear/legs facing forward. I exhale as I twist. Then I inhale and come back to center with my arms up, then twist in the other direction. I use my arms to hold the back of the chair for some leverage so I can get a pretty deep twist. I've become addicted to this stretch.

Hi Heather,

Thank you for your response to my previous question regarding tightness in upper back and chest. I will definately try the stretch. I don't know if my allergies and asthma are really bothering me more this fall since we've had nothing but rain all summer long or not? I was feeling great up until about 3-4 weeks ago and then starting with the drainage and breathiness. I have been on 2 different antiobiotic therapys and felt better for about 3 days last week when it was cooler and then Thursday it started up again. I want to feel better again!!!

Blessings,
Robin
