Has anyone with egg sensitivities made this, and did you have a reaction?

I really want to make this, but I think I have a problem with egg white. (still trying to rule that one out)

Becky, do you have a bad reaction to "Egg Beaters"? What about "All-Whites" (made by Egg Beaters)?

If you're craving rice pudding, why not try Heather's recipe on page 79? It's EXCELLENT (and does not call for any eggs)! I substituted raisins for the bananas, and hubby, a rice pudding fanatic, LOVED it.

(However, it does not keep well; it turns hard and crusty when refrigerated -- so eat it all up!)

Bev

Hi Bev. Thanks for the response.

I haven't tried the "all-whites", but I know for a fact that I have trouble with egg whites themselves. I'm still workin on the egg thing being a C trigger for me altogether. Which is a problem, because I think even in baked goods, it bothers me, and I LOVE to bake.

When I started thinking that I might be sensitive to eggs, even the whites, I started looking on VegWeb for a lot of recipes, rather than here. It's a vegan recipe site. I like it because recipes are rated and reviews posted, so you have a better idea of what you're getting into before you try something!

This is a basic rice pudding recipe that sounds a lot like what I make, when I make it. If you scroll down, I think there's suggestions to make it creamier - using more soy milk and cooking it longer, basically.

Thanks Casey. I think I might try it. I bought sushi rice cause that's what Will's called for, do you think it'll still work?

I don't see why not! I think for a recipe that basic, just about anything except wild rice will do. Good luck with it!
