Hi Heather. I called to order Citrucel and I can't get it since I live in Canada! Gosh I wish I lived in the states. I was wondering what that other soluble fiber supplement is called. What is it again? Sorry I can't find your post that says the name of it. I forgot it starts with a "e" I'm pretty sure. I need to try to order that. I'm also going to try to order Fibercon if I can. I need a soluble fiber supplement badly. I can't believe I can't get Citrucel. Does anything ever work out for me?
Thanks a lot
God Bless

Angel- I had a friend send it to me from N.Y. I am doing fine on the Metamucil-does it bother your system? I don't know if I want to switch now to Citricel.

My doctor hooked me up with a brand called NutriFi made by a company called Pharmanex. It's a mail order thing -- about US$22 a month with shipping. The stuff itself is basically oat fiber, and can be prepared either with hot water or used in cooking. It's not bad. I don't really use it anymore except for cooking, because I found rice helps much more than it did. If you're looking for an alternative though, you might want to check it out.

Hi - You can order Equalactin from Hard to Find Brands This is a great product that people tolerate really well - it's soluble fiber chewable tablets.

I'm so sorry it's so tough to find alternatives to Metamucil in Canada. This is really frustrating.

Best,
Heather

Metamucil really bother me. It's brutal. I get severe gas, gas pains and bloating. It's horrible.

I've been working with a PA at my GI doctors office and she gave a name of what she thought was a pretty new dietary fiber. It's called "Benefiber" and is made by the same company that makes Ex-lax. It's a lot like the clear mix Citrucel. I put it in my morning pepermint tea!!

On fiber supplements, whether it be tablets or powder, can you take 2 tablets and then 2 hours later take 2 more tablets or should you space it out more?
Thanks!
