Can I substitute coconut oil for the canola oil in recipes? I have not yet started the eating for ibs- I've just made the decision today. I use coconut oil to cook with now.

Hi- yes, you can, just beware that all fats, even heart healthy one, are GI stimulants and thus potential IBS triggers. Use small amounts, with a soluble fiber foundation.

I think it will taste the same even if you change the oil.
