Does anyone know any substitute for cheese and/or yoghurt which is not soy based?
I am allergic to soy...

I already tried yeast flakes, but this also gave me IBS-like symptoms . Quorn also does

I can drink/use rice milk, but I haven't found any other ricemilk-based substitutes like cheese or yoghurt...
I found a recepe with 'rice mozzarella' (??) But can't find it on google though. I would like to know where to buy or how to make it!!

The best cheese I've found is called "Daiya"... it's delicious and soy-free.
check this out: http://www.daiyafoods.com/

Lisanatti makes a rice mozzarella that is decent, but I have no idea if it's available in the Netherlands.

Thanx for your replies!

I checked the ingredients, Lisanatti contains casein. I'm not sure yet if I can have casein (but I guess not).
And Daiya contains pea protein. I'm allergic to pea that too

I also cannot find both or something alike in The Netherlands.. I would like to try them, if the pea and/or casein they contain is in (very) small amounts.
Are they preservable? Perhaps I could order them somewhere..

I do okay with the casein, but I know we're all different.

You can order from Lisanatti: http://lisanattifoods.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=4&Itemid=18

The Daiya I tried tasted like soap to me and my husband, but I know many people really like it. I mention this because you may discover finding a non-dairy cheese to your liking may involve some trial and error. I know I tried several different brands before finding the one I really liked, and I have to buy it at a store 70 miles away.

Good luck!

But if casein isn't the problem, I could also try lactose-free cheese first, right..? How much casein does regular cheese contain?
Although, lactose-free cheese would probable be too fat, hm.

I'd like to try different sorts, but it's pretty hard with all those allergies! (Never was a real problem until I got IBS)

should be at amazon. Nothing but cheese recipes that are dairy free, and most are soy free too (or easily made so).
