Beef Strogenoff recipe

I was wondering since red meat is a no no if anyone had a replacement recipe for beef strogenoff? The only thing I can think of to replace the beef would be lamb? Idea anyone?

I've used sliced portobello mushrooms instead of beef and they were great. You can use Tofutti sour cream, too.
