with cool water before you cook them. Quinoa naturally has a very bitter coating on it, and though it's supposed to be cleaned off when it's processed there is usually enough left that the stuff tastes terrible. So, just rinse it well before you cook it, you'll remove what's left of the coating, and then the cooked grains will be pretty darn yummy.

I love quinoa! It is a very different grain, and took me awhile to get used to. I use it a lot in soups and pilafs. Visit this site for some great quinoa recipes: GF Goddess
