Sorry, guys -- I'm afraid I don't agree. Amy's doesn't cut it. At least not the "cheese-free" version. YUUUK! I'm gonna give Heather's recipe a try. Thanks anyway.

Heather, your pizza has it ALL OVER Amy's pizza! YUM! I added soy parmesan, soy mozzarella, and turkey pepperoni. While Don and I threw out Amy's leftover pizza, tonite we were fighting for the last piece of yours. Don said, "WOW, this one's a winner!" Thanks, Heather!!!
Bev.

Are all those turkey substitutes ok? I thought the high fat content would mean they would bother us. Not that I can get them here anyway but I am curious. Like turkey bacon....

The turkey subs are usually very low fat, or even fat free. -nt- new

How are you calculating the fat? By the grams or by the percentage of calories from fat? I was told to stick to foods that are less than 30% calories from fat. Most of the turkey stuff I've found is way above that. Even the turkey bacon was 50%.

Really? Wow, I've never seen turkey bacons or such with more than 10-20% of the calories from fat. I'll have to check what brands these are - I actually prefer the soy bacons and such so I haven't bought the turkey version in a while.

You might check health food store brands - their versions tend to be lower fat (and have lots fewer additive/preservatives) than grocery store brands.

Well, it took me awhile -- but I finally found the kind you're talking about. I had to go out of town to get it; I could not find it locally. You're right -- it's FANTASTIC! Amy's soy cheese pizza. YUM. Just think -- pizza -- after such a long abstinence. I have a happy tummy. Thanks, Shanna!

I am so glad you found it -- and that you like it! I am glad it is just soy cheese, because I can add veggies or low fat turkey pepperoni to it to change it up... Also, I like to dip it in tomato sauce... yummy... as tomotoes don't bother me at all...
