I like ranch-flavored oyster crackers. The recipe I got off the Hidden Valley website calls for a packet of ranch dressing mix (yes, you can buy one--I don't remember whether it's the dressing or the dip--that does NOT contain dairy), a 16-oz. box of oyster crackers, and 1/4 cup oil. Is this too much oil? There is no nutrition info with the recipe, and I couldn't find a specifically low-fat recipe online. Heather?

Oh geez - What's the fat content of the oyster crackers? If it's next to nothing, the 1/4 cup oil is probably okay. I'd bet you could drop that to 3 T without problem. You might also be able to sub 1 T of the oil for 1 T of water, just to get the dressing to blend up (if it's the dry packet) and distribute evenly over the crackers. The water would then evaporate as you cook the crackers (you do bake them, right?)

Try and see...and if these are good post that recipe! They sound similar to the pizza party snack mix, which I love.
