Hello, Does anyone have any really good Thanksgiving IBS recipes? I am vegetarian so the turkey is out - thanks.

Your Thanksgiving is coming up in about a month, right? Ours isn't until late November. I love MCV's Twice Baked Sweet Potatoes - I made them for Thanksgiving last year.

I imagine people will be along with more suggestions - and there are some recipes in Heather's "Eating For IBS" book - but in the meantime, this is something else you can Search for: Recipe Board, no time limit, look for Thanksgiving.

By the way, welcome to the Boards.

I will have to dig through my old issues of Cooking Light... I remember seeing a vegetarian Thanksgiving feast in one of them. I think the "centerpiece" of the meal was a stuffed squash dish that looked absolutely heavenly.

I'll see what I can find!

mashed potatoes made with with vegetable broth and roasted garlic instead of milk/butter (though sometimes instead of roasted garlic I just boil garlic with the potatoes and mash that)

and there is a really yummy mushroom stuffing recipe one of the heather's posted here 2 years ago that I use.. and I put vegetable broth in that instead of chicken as well...

we serve a crowd and some are vegan so I have to have a BUNCH of food I can eat and they can... I will be making peppermint fudge cake along with some other things this year too... so the vegans have one of the desserts... and apparently got volunteered to make my non IBS safe bourbon truffles too....

Thank you for the great mashed potatoe idea - I never thought to put garlic in and veggie broth! I will do a search for the mushroom stuffing - thank you so much! Debbie, Vegetarian, IBS - not sure of the labelling

and they're all vegetarian (I much prefer the sides to the turkey!). Also check back issues of the IBS Newsletter here http://www.helpforibs.com/news/ as there have been several Thanksgiving special issues with tons of recipes over the years.
