I went shopping today and I was suprised to find rose water at my local grocery store. I bought it and realized I don't know what to do with it? Any suggestions? I wanted the orange water but the rose was all I found and that was by accident.

It's lovely sprinkled over fresh fruit, or added to herbal tea, or in baking. It's pretty light and delicate, so you won't get a strong flavor - it would go well in an angel food cake. It's traditional with Middle Eastern desserts - something like a sweet couscous pudding, or baklava, or anything you're making with phyllo.

I also like to dab a bit behind my ears...

Heather - Why on earth would you dab it behind your ears? Is this for your sake or someone else's???????? Don't "kiss and tell" if you're not allowed to!

I also use rose and/or orange flower water with fruits and in baking. In the summer if you're having a fruit salad, I put some of either in and it just seems to give it a good flavor. You can buy big containers of it (if you're using a lot of it) from The Baker's Catalog website. 10 oz is $3.95. I believe 1 oz at the grocery store is pretty expensive. I love both the flower waters in fruit salad, too. Just lovely! And I dab it behind my ears just because I like how it smells. It's like a very faint perfume.

Rosewater has many benefits so you can use it for your hairs and for skin too. It's good for cleaning your skin it works as a toner too.
