Butter Substitution???

HI everyone! I have this great recipe for a pound cake and i can't figure out what to substitute for the butter in the recipe. Please help!! Then i can post the recipe if everything works out ok. Thank you! *Krista*

Hi - Well, it depends on how much butter is in there. Pound cakes are usually very high fat, so you'll probably want to replace part of the butter with applesauce, and part of it with canola oil. This may give you a moister, denser texture than the pound cake if it's normally a tender, slightly dry and crumb-y texture like most pound cakes.
Post the recipe as is and we'll see what we can do!
