Dill, altoids, severe attacks

I read in a magazine dill quiets stomach cramps, relieves gas, prevents nausea. You add 4 tsp. dill to boiling water, steep 5 min., strain. Is that okay to take for IBS? Is it safe? If I can take it how much can I have each day since I have severe IBS.
How many altoids can you swallow each day?
When you have IBS do you get severe attacks for the rest of your life even when you get it controled? When I get severe attacks it lasts 6 days straight it happens anyday, anywhere, anytime, no matter what I'm doing, it's unpredictable.

Dill, like many herbs, is a digestive aid. You can brew it as you would peppermint, fennel, ginger, anise, chamomile, oregano. They'll all help, and can't hurt.

Once you get your IBS under control you should certainly not be suffering severe attacks every day. I think in another post you mentioned having recently stopped taking Zoloft. Talk to your doctor about this - anti-depressants can really affect IBS, for better or worse, and you may be suffering from coming off this drug.

Best,
Heather

I never took zoloft you have me mixed up with someone else. I don't have severe attacks everyday but my IBS is severe. When I get severe attacks they last 6 days in a row.

Thought I'd just seen another post by you about zoloft but I didn't check to make sure. My mistake - it was someone else.
