First of all- I love "Eating for IBS"- I thought my life would be a life of bland food. I am amazed at what I can eat and still feel good!

My question: Are these recipes already 100% IBS friendly or can/should we do applesauce substitutions for most oils?

Thanks!
Sarah

Hi there! The recipes in Eating for IBS have already been modified to be low fat, so you don't have to replace the oils they call for with applesauce. You actually can if you like, but the results probably won't be quite as good. Also, make sure you keep small amounts of healthy fats in your diet - baking with a little canola oil is a good way to help do that.

Best,
Heather
