Any hope for this recipe?

I came across this recipe this morning. It sounds pretty good, but I wasn't sure how IBS-friendly it was or could be. I thought maybe the fat from the salmon & avocado would be too much together. As for the Greek yogurt, sub soy/rice yogurt or sour cream? Any advice?

Hey Mags - This sounds really good. I think all you'd have to do is sub plain soy yogurt for the Greek yogurt and you'll be set. If you serve the salmon with rice and don't slather it with a ton of sauce the fat content should be just fine.
Let me know how this tastes!

Hi Heather- I've always thought that yogurt was safe when other dairy foods weren't due to the live cultures. No???Just wondering...

Hi - Yogurt is lower in lactose than non-fermented dairy products. The problem is, it's not just the lactose that causes problems for IBS. It's the fat, casein, and whey in dairy. And all of those elements are in yogurt. So, to be safe, just stick to the soy yogurt instead.
