I have had IBS for about 18 years now and have been using Heather's Tummy Fiber products for all of those years. Lately, our new family doctor has told me that with my A1C at 6.4% (I've been dignosed with pre diabetes in 2017) he would recommend I go to their dietician. After speaking with her on the phone she claims that increasing the intake of fiber into my diet that will help lower my blood sugar. She says eating more high fiber foods will do the trick. With IBS I'm concerned that too much fiber in the diet will cause problems since I've been stable for years now. Is this high fiber diet good or bad for IBS users to keep the A1C under control?

Hi - it's soluble fiber in foods and the tummy fiber that regulate blood sugar, that's what you want a lot of for both IBS and diabetes. So no worries here at all.

Be careful with insoluble fiber, watch HOW you eat it - yellow light list here
