I have had diarrhea or loose stools for 7 months now. Been on your tummy fiber for many, many years. Before this last flare, or whatever it is, I was pretty stable. I have increased my tummy fiber to 12 grams daily for about 2 weeks now, split in 2 bottles of water that I drink throughout the day. The past 2 days I have had constipation type stool - (balls and some float) and today still a bit constipated - should I decrease the amount of fiber by half a tsp. Thanks!

Hi - I'm so sorry you are going through a flare. I would actually gradually increase your tummy fiber to help the constipation. It can't make the diarrhea worse, you just don't quite have enough soluble fiber in your gut right now for normal motility. Gradually increase one daily dose every 3-4 days until you are stable again.
