I have a question about apples. Applesauce is a soluble fiber, peeled apples are an insoluble but it is suggested to avoid apple juice. Why is that?

Hi -the skin on an apple is insoluble fiber, if you peel it you can remove that, making it safer. The interior is high soluble fiber.

If you strip out everything from the apple but the juice, it will have a high fructose content, and fructose is a poorly digested sugar. This is especially true for bottled apple juice. Freshly juiced apples, like what you'd make at a home with a juicer, can be tolerable, especially the tarter varieties like Granny Smith. I'd avoid bottled apple juice completely (and bottled grape juice as well).

XOXO

Speaking of drinks, what is your opinion/experience with flavored waters? I'm trying to up my water consumption but plain water sometimes just doesn't cut it.

Read the ingredients. Just water and natural flavors is fine. If they add artificial sweeteners or carbonation, not so fine.
