We've had several folks who are allergic to soy but want to use peppermint oil capsules. I don't know why it couldn't be some other type of vegetable oil for the base. I'll let you know if we make the change - it sounds like a good idea, and thank you for suggesting it.

In the meantime, has the peppermint tea helped you? I know how amazing the capsules are but the tea does help too. Also there is no soy in altoids and they do contain peppermint oil, so you might try chewing some up or just straight swallowing them like a pill if you don't care for the taste.

Does everyone who suffers with IBS realize that MOST toothpastes contain aspertame?? I finally found a toothpaste that does not contain this. It is called TOM'S(Natural Care of Maine) and can be found at Walgreen's.

or something like that? That's an Artificial sweetener as well. If you do a search using the word toothpaste, you will see this topic has come up in the past with ideas on what others do.
