Hello to all! I am new to the board and was wondering if there is a listing anywhere for Brand Names Foods. If not, Heather this would be a great idea. Example: Amy's brand Marinara...Also, a restaurant listing. Example: Chili's Grilled Chicken Plate. This is just and example and does not by any means indicate that the above is safe. It would so nice to start a list and continue to add to it. This way we can print the list and take it with us to the grocery store. What do you all think?

Hi, well I am new to this site but find it inspiring to hear everyone's advice on this disorder. I have had IBS for as long as I can remember but have only been diagnosed officially in the last few years. I think starting a list of safe foods found in restauraunts and grocery stores is a great idea. I work two jobs, one of them being in a restaraunt and I sometimes find it hard to be able to have an IBS friendly meal easily. Does anyone have something to start off the list?

I would love to see something like this set up (and help by adding to it!).
I think we would have to do several different ones for different countries though eg, 1 for US, 1 for UK, 1 for Australia etc because the brands and ingredients differ so much from country to country.
I definately think it's a great idea though!

and I'm sure there's a way to compile this list and keep it accessible instead of having it get buried on the board. I do think we'd need a list for the US, Canada, UK, and Australia as the available foods are different.
For now, let's just have people post their suggestions. When we get a good long list I'll compile the info and probably post it as a webpage, with a link from the bulletin board front page.

yes, i agree. A lot of the brands mentioned so far I have never heard of. We definitely need brands from Canada ad ded tothe list as I think most of the members are from the states.

This is a Wonderful Idea and would help us that are still new to this. Trying to find some of this stuff in the Grocery Store is so time consuming and frustrating and so expensive, but if it's going to keep us from getting attacks it's worth it. Also Louise I agree that there are not too many of us from Canada on here. Georgette
