I take 2 gas-x at bedtime and boy has it helped me. I read on here earlier that someone mentioned Sorbital is in gas-x and that it might cause some problems. Also Peppermint oil is in gas-x.. Well how smart I feel now from learning from Heather and her books. Thanks..

Sorbitol - the almighty Google finds all.
Basically, it's an artificial sweetener, and artificial sweeteners can be a trigger for some people.

Thanks Casey.... Why in the world would they put a artificial sweetner in a gas-x pill? Not like it sweetens the flavor.....

I have seen mannitol in some gas-x products. You might want to read the label on yours to see what it has in it. Maybe it doesn't contain mannitol/sorbitol. Sorbitol is a really big trigger for me.....but some may be able to tolerate it. Everybody is different.
And....yes, why do they have to put those things in stuff we take??? Can't they just leave things alone??

can get gas, cramps, and diarrhea from it. If you've ever read the label on diabetic cookies or candies it will actually have a warning for this, and advise you not to eat too much of the stuff. And that warning is for everyday folks, not even people with IBS. Imagine what it does to us.
