Found IBS Message Board. Wanted to share.

For two reasons:
1. To see if Heather has heard of it.
2. To maybe help people find us over here, and to maybe find something from all of them.
I've posted a few times over there already. It's an EZ Board.

Hi Jules - I have seen this board. It used to be a part of digestioninfo.com, a site run by a guy named Bill Taylor who's wife has IBS. Their site is now gone but the board lives on.
I'm not sure who's running the board now - can't find that info on the site. But I do know that they will remove posts with hyperlinks in them to any other IBS site just as soon as they're posted. I've had a few folks bail out of the site and come over here because they were so frustrated by that. They kept looking for past posts by other people that had good links in them and the posts were always disappearing.
I haven't spent time there in quite a while myself.

That's odd that they would remove hyper links. I read that they don't allow "bumping" of posts either. Isn't this all about helping people?
There are some harsh discussions on that board. I've seen the F Bomb dropped a couple of times.

OMG! Those jerks! They banned me from their board. I had posted several messages with links to this Web site, and they gave me the boot. I'm so flippin' mad right now!!!

Jules, anyone who would ban someone as cute as you is crazy!
I'm surprised that they did that, but it just goes to show how terrific this board is. I was curious about "that place" when I read the first thread about it, but now I'm not. It's obviously not a very good place to be -- and now we can have you all to ourselves. Yaay!

I just wanted to direct people here, since the diet seems to work for nearly all the folks who have heard about it. There is still a TON of mis-information out there. Their loss (and continuing misery), I guess.
I couldn't even contact the administrator to ask any questions or explain my intentions.

Jules: don't take this personally. This is the way most boards that are not owner moderated control spam. Spammers can ruin a board by continually posting for their own product, so when you post the same link several times, they consider you a spammer and automatically block you. If they didn't have this control, spammers would eventually ruin message boards.

That part about spamming makes sense to me, but I browsed the thread again and there were many many posts with hyperlinks in them. I don't get it. Oh well, I won't share my knowledge with anyone over there anymore.
