IBS friendly restaurants

I am going to New York Manhattan for three days and I am a little anxious. I have severe IBS and have a very strict diet. Does anyone recommend any restaurants.

I work in Manhattan and live in Brooklyn and although I eat out rarely due to the same problem, I find that most restaurants I have been in will be accommodating if I request something grilled dry or sauce on the side. There are so many choices here that I'm sure you won't have a hard time finding great places to eat. Have a great trip and enjoy.

Hi - do a search for past posts on this topic. There have been a ton of good threads on the topic, with restaurant ideas and meals to order. Personally, I like getting steamed seafood choices with lots of white rice at Chinese restaurants (ask for no MSG), or rice/seafood sushi rolls at Japanese places.

I'm another brooklyn-ite - It might be good to keep in mind that starbucks is the unofficial public restroom of NYC! Also you can duck into just about any hotel and find a clean public restroom. There are so many good restaurants here for ibs-safe eating, its hard to know where to begin. Veg. Sushi is always a safe bet for me and Japanese restaurants are eveywhere. Enjoy your trip!
