Hi everyone. I was wondering why it is bad to eat egg yolks. Is it the protein? I ate a tiny bit of egg yolks last night and my tummy was fine. I just started wondering after eating them why we weren't supposed to eat them. Leah

Hi there, Egg yolks are high in fat. I also think they contain sulfur which can be an irritant?
I've been eating Egg Beaters for a few months and I am loving them. I wished I would of switched to them sooner instead of avoiding eggs all together.

Egg yolks as this topic has come up on the boards before.

So it's the fat. So Heather, does this mean we can have a tiny bit once in a while if we do ok with them? Leah

Yes, if you're sure you do okay with them. In a small quantity, in a high soluble fiber base, when you're stable, you might do just fine. But be careful and treat them like the potential trigger they are.
