Hi everyone. I was wondering why it is bad to eat egg yolks. Is it the protein? I ate a tiny bit of egg yolks last night and my tummy was fine. I just started wondering after eating them why we weren't supposed to eat them.

Hi there, Egg yolks are high in fat. I also think they contain sulfur which can be an irritant?

I've been eating Egg Beaters for a few months and I am loving them. I wished I would of switched to them sooner instead of avoiding eggs all together.

So it's the fat. So Heather, does this mean we can have a tiny bit once in a while if we do ok with them?

Yes, if you're sure you do okay with them. In a small quantity, in a high soluble fiber base, when you're stable, you might do just fine. But be careful and treat them like the potential trigger they are.
