Wicked gas...how do I find help for this? (m)

It is so embarrassing! I have had gas now (more than normal) for two days and pardon this...but it stinks! What causes this? I've tried beano before meals, mylanta afterwards. I know I haven't been as careful as normal but still...how do I get rid of this? Or at least make it manageable?

thanks,
Sandy

I get that once in a while and nothing seems to help except maybe after I have a BM that usually alleviates some of the problem. Doesn't Mylanta have Magnesium in it? Might be something causing some gas for you from the magnesium. I usually have big problems after certain veggies like broccoli.

Be consistent and try some peppermint tea - even you are gas free and drink a lot! Also I find Peppermint Altoids pretty refreshing. Others drink the fennel tea but I'm not too fond of the taste.

Hope you feel better soon! At times like these, I carry around some bath and body works spray!

Thanks!

I've been going off and on all day (regular not D) but yesterday was a more constipated day so maybe that's why. I never used to get constipated ( in that I mean, only going 1 or 2 times a day opposed to 4 or 5!) but since I've been on the soluble fiber, that's been helping with my bathroom trips. I'll try more tea and less mylanta!

you were just talking about all the BM's today - that was me a few days ago. How annoying but at least it wasn't C or D. I hate the C the D and the big "G"!!!

that should help! Check the yoga section of the web sites for poses that release gas, and start drinking fennel tea as that will reduce the gas altogether.

Heather is right that yoga really helps. Certain movements with help with constipation and gas. I myself bought a yoga book to show me which ones.
Also for really smelly gas Ginger is recommended.
