Heather is the Colitis & IBS diet the same?

Hi
I was trying to help someone and need to find out the diet for Colitis and recepies. I had always assumed it is the same treatment, prevention, and herbal remedies for both is that true.
I don't want to make this person more sick then they are and have recommended this site.

You may want to post this on the Crohn's and Colitis board as I am sure many people on there will be able to help you.
As well as give you book selection ideas.

Hi - "colitis" is sometimes used improperly as a term for IBS. "Spastic colitis" is the same thing as IBS as well.
Ulcerative colitis, or other forms of colitis that are inflammatory bowel diseases, is totally different than IBS. But - the dietary guidelines are the same. So, in a nutshell, the info can only help, and not hurt, someone with colitis.
