I have been taking Heathers tummy tamers and Align as a probiotic and I just ordered the Acacia Tummy Fiber because I read that it will help with some issues that I am still having. Do I still need to take the probiotic when taking the other two? I don't want to be taking too many things and cause myself more problems. Thanks for any input you can provide.

Hi - all three of these things will actually do different things for you, so you can use all of them.

The Tummy Fiber is prebiotic, so it will encourage the growth of healthy gut bacteria, regardless of whether or not you use a probiotic. So if want to discontinue the probiotic you can - but you don't have to.

Do you use a probiotic and if so what brand do you use or have found most helpful?

Hi - I flip through different brands and most of the time I don't take them at all. Best feedback from folks has come from VSL #3, Digestive Advantage IBS, and Jarrow brands.

Try anything that's non dairy and has no inulin, FOS, or GOS.

Thanks so much for your help. I greatly appreciate it. I have both of your books and have been following/visiting your website for awhile now. The list of trigger foods, soluble fiber and insoluble fiber are very helpful. I have been trying out some of your recipes too and it has helped a lot. Thanks so much for the web of information. It's great that I can go to one site and pretty much find all of the information that I'm looking for. I have also come across a couple other people with IBS and have turned them on to your website. Thanks again for all of your help.
